Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene – Presov Program

To be admitted to the Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene program, the candidate must hold one of the following diplomas:

• Level 5 MQF Diploma: “Diploma di Esame di Stato/Maturità” (Italian system)
• Diploma or Certificate of the first cycle
• Higher education certificate or equivalent international qualification (e.g., “CESS” – Belgian system)
• Baccalauréat (French system)
• Federal Diploma (Swiss system)

And passed the entrance exam.

ADMISSION EXAM FEE

• To be paid, only for the first year of the course, at the time of registration for the admission exam (in accordance with the provisions of the admission request)

CHF 350 (Swiss francs three hundred fifty)

ENROLLMENT FEE

• To be paid each year, for the entire duration of the course, to be enrolled for the academic year (in accordance with the provisions of the admission request)

CHF 1,200 (Swiss francs one thousand two hundred)

ANNUAL TUITION FEE

• To be paid each year, for the entire duration of the course, to be enrolled for the academic year (in accordance with the provisions of the admission request)

CHF 15,500 (Swiss francs fifteen thousand five hundred)

GRADUATION FEE

• To be paid, only in the last year of the course, before accessing the Thesis Defense session (in accordance with the provisions of the admission request)

CHF 2,000 (Swiss francs two thousand)

• To be paid, only in the last year of the course, before accessing the State Exam session (in accordance with the provisions of the admission request)

The title “Bachelor in Dental Hygiene,” issued by Presov, is a European title and therefore recognized in all countries of the European Union, based on Directive 2005/36/EC.
In this regard, it is important to specify that for the purpose of recognition, each State may, at its discretion, require additional internship, supplementary examination, or other requirements.

To obtain recognition of the diploma in Switzerland, the graduate must submit an application to the CRS (Swiss Red Cross) in Bern. It is important to specify that for the purpose of recognition, each State may, at its discretion, require additional internship, supplementary examination, or other requirements (See Directive 2005/36/EC and Directive 2013/55/UE).

Once the diploma is recognized by the CRS, the graduate must request authorization to practice the profession of dental hygienist as an employee in the Canton of Ticino from the Health Office in Bellinzona (LSan Law).

Each Canton has its competent office for this procedure, which must be followed to legally practice the profession of dental hygienist in Switzerland.
